Terms and Conditions: Vacations by Lorna

 

Making reservations for this package signifies your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. 

 

1. Acceptance of Agreement & Representations

By booking your arrangement with us or using our website, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement and the conditions of any Supplier (airline, hotel, tour operator) applicable to your booking. You agree on behalf of yourself and those you represent to comply with all such terms, including the payment of all amounts when due. 

 

Capacity: You warrant that you are of sufficient legal age to create binding obligations and that the information supplied by you or your group is true and correct.

 

Responsibility: You are responsible for informing other persons in your group of all applicable terms. You are financially responsible for any use of our services by you and those using your name or account.

 

Violations: Any violation may result in (a) cancellation of your reservation, (b) forfeiture of all monies paid, (c) denial of access to travel products, and (d) our right to debit your account for costs incurred due to the violation. 

 

2. Payments, Deposits, and Refunds

All payments to Vacations by Lorna are non-refundable and non-transferable. Our contractual agreements with hotels and vendors do not allow for refunds. 

 

Deposits & Price Guarantees: A deposit enables us to hold a reservation but does not guarantee the price. The price is only guaranteed once we receive full payment and travel documents have been issued.

 

Payment Plans: If a monthly plan is selected, you are enrolled in automated monthly billing. A valid credit/debit card must remain on file. You will receive monthly notices when payment is due.

 

Strict Payment Rule: No payments can be missed, or your trip will be cancelled automatically. Any request for a late payment must be approved by management at least 24 hours in advance.

 

Reinstatement Fee: Cancelled bookings are not guaranteed for recovery. If reinstatement is possible, a non-refundable Reinstatement Fee will apply in addition to any supplier price increases.

 

Price Changes: After full payment, supplier contracts may permit them to increase costs due to fuel surcharges, taxes, or exchange rates; these will be passed on to you. We reserve the right to refuse personal checks. 

 

3. Roommate & Occupancy Policy

 

Consistency: You must ensure your roommate(s) make timely payments.

 

Timeline: Roommates must book within 30 days of your reservation. If they do not, or if a roommate cancels/defaults, your reservation will be adjusted to the current occupancy rate, and your trip price will increase accordingly. 

 

4. Travel Protection & Insurance (Refined)

 

Travel insurance is a vital part of your arrangements and is strongly recommended. 

 

No Liability for Claims: Vacations by Lorna is not an insurance provider. We are not responsible for the approval or denial of claims, nor can we interpret specific policy coverage.

 

Client Responsibility: All specific questions regarding coverage must be directed to the insurance provider. By declining insurance, you acknowledge you are 100% responsible for any financial loss resulting from trip cancellation or emergencies.

 

Mandatory Insurance: Some arrangements require insurance by law or contract. Failure to obtain it may result in cancellation. 

 

5. Travel Documents and Requirements

 

Passports: International travel requires a passport valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. No refunds are provided for expired passports.

 

Name Accuracy: Reservations must be made in your FULL NAME exactly as it appears on your passport.

 

Student/Teacher IDs: You are required to carry a valid International Student/Youth/Teacher I.D. if traveling on a special category ticket.

 

Visas & Health: You are responsible for fulfilling all visa and vaccination requirements. Check travel.state.gov for U.S. Government advisories.

 

Document Delivery: Provided full payment is received, itineraries will be emailed 30 days or earlier prior to travel. You must safeguard these as if they were cash. 

 

6. Agency Role and Supplier Liability

Vacations by Lorna acts as a Booking Agent. We have no control over supplier schedule changes (such as airlines) and accept no liability for costs or changes resulting from supplier actions. 

Flight Changes: We will notify you of significant changes before you leave the U.S. if we are alerted by the airline. After leaving the U.S., you must check with your airline at least 72 hours before departure to confirm onward flights.

 

Inquiries: You can email us to review your account; please allow 24 hours for a response. 

 

7. Force Majeure (Acts Beyond Control)

 

Vacations by Lorna shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations if such failure is due to a "Force Majeure" event, including but not limited to: acts of God (hurricanes, floods, wildfires), war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, government mandates, or pandemics. In such events, we are not responsible for issuing refunds, as our role is as an agent for third-party suppliers. 

 

8. Prohibited Use

 

You agree not to permit the use of our services by anyone residing in a country for which such use is prohibited under U.S. regulations.

 

9. Cancellation by Traveler & Administrative Fees

 

While all payments to Vacations by Lorna are non-refundable, if you choose to voluntarily cancel your reservation, you must notify us in writing via email.

 

Agency Cancellation Fee: A non-refundable Administrative Cancellation Fee of $150 per person will be charged at the time of cancellation. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with processing your cancellation and communicating with third-party suppliers.

 

Supplier Penalties: This agency fee is in addition to any non-refundable deposits or penalties charged by hotels, airlines, or other vendors.

 

Retainer Fees: Any professional "Retainer Fees" paid at the start of the planning process remain 100% non-refundable and non-transferable upon cancellation.

 

Please sign the signature page acknowledging that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions. I specifically acknowledge and accept the Non-Refundable & Non-Transferable Payment Policy and the Travel Insurance Recommendations.
